I was quite surprised to find this on the app store, but also quite excited… But those feelings soon changed.

Interface;
On the whole the interface is quite nice and is very similar to the recent update to the Xbox dashboard(slide left and right) and apparently very windows phone looking with the various tiles to be selected. And my Xbox avatar (animated) is a nice touch.

Performance;
Now this is where I expected problems and found various. Takes about 40 seconds to launch(not that I am impatient but quite a long time considering)

The app performs as well as you would expect until you actually try to do something. The tabs slide and scroll just as good as any other app you come across these days but try and select a video and you are greeted by a white screen and then your iPhone home screen… Ok maybe watching videos is a bit too advance for this app so relaunch and check my message inbox, oh your going to crash again. Hmmm disappointing, Altho checking my achievements seemed to work until I tap a game and the white screen of death(makes a change from blue screen of death) appears yet again. The only option that seems to work is logout of the app which seems like a good idea.

Overall;
A clean looking app, sadly let down by bugs. Why would an app developer release an app that doesn’t actually work? There are other iPhone apps that pretty much do what this app is trying to do but without crashing, but not quite as aesthetically pleasing. You kinda expect more from a big company like Microsoft, but then again I have used Windows so nothing surprises me about their products.
